• CTV and TSN have signed former NFL quarterback and star of The Bachelor Jesse Palmer to double duty as an entertainment correspondent for CTV's eTalk Daily and an NFL analyst for TSN.

• Entertainment lawyer Sam Berliner has joined Cineflix as VP of business and legal affairs.

• Distribution expert Tim Brown has been named the new president of Insight Film Releasing, the distribution arm of Vancouver's Insight Film Studios.

• Kim Hume has been promoted to director of public policy and communications at ACTRA National, taking over from Ken Thompson, now director of copyright and broadband law at Rogers Communications.

• Jeffrey Sagansky is now co-chairman of the board at Peace Arch Entertainment, sharing the spot with Drew Craig. Both men, together with former Universal Television exec Kerry McCluggage, joined the board when they invested $2 million in 2005.

• Rudy Buttignol is now president and CEO of Knowledge Network, a position he has held on an interim basis since May.
