Fromer fronts The List
by: Apr 2, 2007 Print

Casting is underway for The List - the new lifestyle show from Cineflix that will help Canadians cross items off their life's "to-do" list - for Slice.

The 26 x 30 will be hosted by Liza Fromer, the former cohost of Breakfast Television on Citytv Toronto, and will begin production in Toronto and other locations in mid-April, according to Philip Whelan (Psychic Investigators), executive producer at the Montreal- and Toronto-based production house.

"If it's someone wish to go to Paris for dinner, then we have to do that," he says, adding that some of the e-mail requests they've received thus far have raised some eyebrows.

"One of the strangest ones that have come up twice is people wanting to perform an autopsy... somebody also wanted to deliver a baby elephant," Whelan says, noting "we'll have to pick segments we can actually manage."

The series will premiere on the Alliance Atlantis-owned Slice, formerly Life Network, in October.
