• Gemini- and Emmy-winner Scott Moore, the former head of production at Rogers Sportsnet, is the new executive director of CBC Sports, replacing Nancy Lee.

• Cookie Jar Entertainment has hired Brook Hefner, formerly of Fox Sports Net and Bill Clinton's media team, as its public relations manager and posted her to its office in Los Angeles.

• TVA Films has hired Marie-Sylvie Lefebvre as director of international and television sales. The distribution vet is covering for Nathalie Larivière, who will go on parental leave on May 5.

• Debbie Harksen has moved to the new position of marketing specialist at the Alberta Film Commission.

• Studio B Productions has hired one exec and promoted another - bringing in Anthony Jiwa as director of marketing and upping Kirsten Newlands to head of production.

• Jason Morberg is now in charge of all business and legal affairs at Calgary's Voice Pictures, replacing Donna Serafinus, who is now with Seven24Films in Calgary

• Amanda Handy has been tapped as the business affairs manager for Media Headquarters in Toronto.

• Guru Studio in Toronto has hired producers Susan Ma and Skye Bjarnason. Ma will be responsible for TV and long-form projects, while Bjarnason will produce commercials.

• Kray Mitchell, a filmmaker who specializes in computer and Internet technology, has joined Calgary-based Joe Media as information technologies manager.
