Alliance Releasing is going on-line. The distribution company will be hooked up via the ComputerLink bulletin board system, creating a public forum for release materials and promotions. Digitized production stills, sound clips, ticket giveaways and text files will be on-line later this month. Down the road, the same materials will be offered through the Internet.

Meanwhile, Alliance Releasing has renewed its exclusive domestic distribution deal with New Line Cinema. The two-year agreement involves, for the first time, home video and telefilms.

Alliance has been the sole Canadian distributor of New Line product, which also incorporates Fine Line releases, for five years.

In the last few months, New Line has been signing deals with John Woo, Geena Davis and Renny Harlin among others.
