Barna-Alper get rights

Barna-Alper Productions has announced plans for a feature film about the Nova Scotia Westray coal mining disaster. The company has secured the rights to the life stories of some of the Nova Scotia miners who worked at Westray at the time of the disaster.

The Toronto-based production company has also announced the appointment of award-winning stage director Guy Sprung as vice-president of drama. He will be responsible for the development and production of dramatic films.
