Exec shuffle at Rainmaker
by: Oct 10, 2008 Print

Rainmaker has expanded its executive ranks, putting long-timer Jennifer Twiner-McCarron atop the studio's production efforts for films, DVDs and games. Twiner-McCarron, who has produced or exec produced most of the Vancouver shop's films since 2000, moves up from an animation post to VP of production.

"I am extremely pleased to promote Jennifer to head up our production team... as we further position Rainmaker to develop and produce its own content," said CEO Warren Franklin in a statement. Twiner-McCarron started at Mainframe Entertainment in the late 90s, coming over with the Rainmaker buyout in 2006.

The expansion creates a number of new positions: Kimberly Dennison, formerly of The Walt Disney Company, is now director of development and Barbara Dawson, previously with Industrial Light and Magic, has returned to be director of talent relations and recruiting.

Tony Pelle has been promoted to director of technology, another new post.

EVP of business development Paul Gertz will continue to be responsible for studio relationships, partnerships and business affairs. Gertz, Dennison, Dawson and Twiner-McCarron report directly to Franklin, while Pelle reports to Twiner-McCarron.
