Distraction goes Down Under
by: Oct 3, 2008 Print

Australian producer and distributor dSP Beyond has linked arms with Distraction to make shows from the format broker's catalogue at home and in New Zealand.

The deal revealed this week paves the way for an Aussie version of The Next Great Leader, a version of which aired here on CBC, and will see Distraction take the dSP series Your Money Sorted to market at MIPCOM. The series aired Down Under on New Zealand's TVOne.

"This foray into the world of production is the first of many steps to be taken by Distraction," said company chief Michel Rodrigue in a statement.

The joint effort between the companies will operate under the banner of dSP Beyond Distraction. Distraction will be the exclusive international distributor outside of Australia and New Zealand for all dSP Beyond formats.
