Rainnie hosts tennis for CBC
by: Jul 24, 2008 Print

CBC is ready to hit the air with its coverage of the ongoing Rogers Cup in Toronto.

The Ceeb has the tourney's most important matches, broadcasting the men's semis and finals this weekend, and will return over the August long weekend for the women's semis and finals (Aug. 2 to 3) from Montreal.

CBC's coverage will be headed up by host Bruce Rainnie for both weekends. The men's matches will feature analysis from tennis coach Peter Burwash and CBC's Elliotte Friedman, while he'll be joined for the ladies' matches by former tennis star Tracy Austin and analyst Michael Cvitkovic.

Tournament play kicked off yesterday on the men's side on TSN, which will carry marquee matches leading up to the final four.
