Cookie Jar Entertainment has appointed Jennifer Picherack as its VP of distribution and sales operations for Canada.

She moves over from her previous post as creative head of production, and in her new role will be responsible for securing all presale, development and library sales deals within Canada for the Cookie Jar catalogue. She will also oversee domestic home video and VOD sales, working out of the company's Toronto offices.

Previously, Picherak was director of production for Decode Entertainment. Her career spans more than 10 years, and her notable credits include associate producing award-winning series Angela Anaconda and Franny's Feet as well as serving creative exec roles on Chop Socky Chooks and Delilah & Julius.

"We will benefit from Jennifer's impressive industry knowledge and experience which will make her an extremely valuable asset to the company and the sales team," said Cookie Jar SVP Jean-Michel Ciszewski in a statement.
